ACTOR, STORYTELLER AND DRAMATURG

My work in Theatre, Performing Arts, Community Theatre continues to stimulate the participation of diverse audiences, as well as several communities and organisations. It has emphasised the multiple potentialities that the arts can play as a transformative and renewing instrument.
In the past year, in between Cape Verde and Portugal, I developed “kWAMAGUGU YAMI”(MY INHERITANCE), a Children’s Theatre project where I used different artistic languages and exercises to facilitate and tell children stories. These promoted African cultures, their habits and traditions, contributing to the dissemination and
recreation of Cape Verde and its people, bringing them again to life.
